Our founder

Johnnie Prince is a woman of faith, who comes boldly and humbly standing on the word of God to help homeless women to have a safe place to live and to provide them with the resources needed to help move them out of homelessness.

Lisa’s House was founded in March 2012, by Ms. Prince; in honor of a close family member who struggled with some of the life obstacles that keep women traumatized each day, leading to homelessness. This passion to help homeless women is born from her own personal experience, and is near and dear to her heart. She’s seen the things women have to endure when they need a home and a way out of their state of homelessness. Their pain is her pain.

Her mission is to pay it forward by making Lisa’s House a safe place to live and thrive. She relies on this word of the Lord: “when you give, give out of compassion and care for the other person’s needs or it does you no good.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

As House Manager living with and getting to know the ladies, has given Johnnie the opportunity to have rich and fulfilling moments with them, that words cannot explain. Her spiritual growth has been strengthened through her work in this ministry. In this capacity, she has worn many hats. There are so many jobs involved in being the House Manager, including being a counselor, a leader, a house mom for the ladies, and a friend when needed.
